Contemporary Controls Renews Healthy Manufacturer Certification

Contemporary Controls has renewed the Illinois Manufacturers' Association (IMA) Healthy Manufacturer Certification for 2022.

The IMA's Healthy Manufacturing Certificate Program training is offered in partnership with the Illinois Manufacturing Excellence Center (IMEC) to educate manufacturers on the best practices for maintaining a healthy and safe work environment.

This year's training includes new content for the 2022 renewal to provide the latest on OSHA regulations, Center for Disease Control (CDC) recommendations and guidance for operating safely during a pandemic, and how the full re-opening impacted current policies.

During the pandemic shutdowns, Contemporary Controls' HVAC control products were deemed essential in the operations and safety of hospitals and urgent care facilities. "Like many companies striving to maintain their production goals while keeping employees safe, we quickly implemented safety protocols according to the CDC and state of IL guidelines." said George Thomas, president. "Today, we are applying the lessons we learned during this pandemic to provide a healthy and safe workplace for all employees."

The IMA is the oldest and largest state manufacturers association in the U.S. Since 1893, the IMA's mission has been to strengthen the economic, social, environmental, and governmental conditions solely for manufacturing and allied enterprises in Illinois to enlarge the business base and increase employment opportunities.

IMEC is a team of improvement specialists and technicians dedicated to providing organizations in Illinois with the tools and techniques to create sustainable competitive futures. The IMEC team works closely with its clients to plan critical business improvements in the areas of leadership, strategy, customer engagement, operations, and workforce.
