Contemporary Controls CTRLink Skorpion Series of industrial-grade Ethernet switches are designed to meet the rigorous network connectivity demands of industrial and commercial automation and control systems. Skorpion unmanaged switches are easy to install, maintain, and operate, and, unlike office-grade equipment, are built for environments that require robust and reliable performance, unattended operation, and compliance with industry regulations.
These switches offer plug-and-play functionality, requiring no configuration. They provide a simple, cost-effective solution for expanding Ethernet networks in an automation system.

Port Options: Skorpion switches include models with 5, 8 and 16 ports. Models are available with one or two fiber optic ports in single-mode or multimode, with SC or ST connectors. All copper ports automatically configure their data rate and duplex using the auto-negotiation protocol.
Speed: Depending on the capability of the link partner, the Skorpion switches provide 10 Mbps or 100 Mbps performance, with Gigabit models that provide 1000 Mbps, at either half- or full-duplex. Fiber ports are fixed at 100 Mbps full-duplex for the highest performance.
Operating Temperature: The 0 to 60°C temperature range is consistent with the ratings of BAS controllers, security, and fire equipment.
Power: Units are powered from a choice of low-voltages (10–36 VDC or 24 VAC, ±10%) and can share the power source with other control panel equipment.
The switches feature positive locking terminal strips to securely lock the power supply to the switch and eliminate power disruption. The screw-style power connector is easy to wire and durable for shipping to the job sites.
Redundant power connections allow the switch to continue to run without disruption from the loss of primary power. The operating voltages allow for a backup power source without identical electrical criteria. Any voltage source in the specified range can serve as a backup power source – including batteries.
Mounting and enclosure: The switches' standardized panel layout and design provide secure DIN-rail mounting for years.
Certifications: The switches carry proper regulatory approvals (see table). Four-layer printed circuit boards and input filters are used to meet the industrial limits of electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) standards EN 55022 and EN 55024.
Long-Term Availability: Design it once, "set it and forget it," with no worries for future builds. Unlike office-grade equipment, CTRLink switches have long-term availability, and any future redesigns required because of component EOL comply with same fit, form, or function. This ensures customer designs and documents require minimal changes, if any.
Technical Support: The switches are backed with our award-winning technical support and 5-year warranty. Troubleshooting in the field is tedious, and Ethernet technology can be complex. We back our rugged, reliable Ethernet switches with experienced technical support to fully meet your needs.
