Introduction to Pre-Built Applications

With the development of the macro components, Contemporary Controls has replaced the constant volume CvRTU series of pre-built applications with a new series entitled CvAHU which includes three macros – Staged Heat/Cool, Wall Setter, and Economizer. The targeted constant volume applications have not changed.

• CvAHU1 – analog heating/cooling with economizer, DCV, powered exhaust
• CvAHU2 – DX cooling/electric or gas heating with economizer, DCV, powered exhaust
• CvAHU3 – DX cooling/electric or gas heating with economizer, fixed vent., powered exhaust
• CvAHU4 – DX cooling/electric or gas heating with economizer, fixed vent., barometric exhaust
• CvAHU5 – DX cooling/electric or gas heating with economizer, fixed vent., barometric exhaust

In addition, new applications were added for 2-pipe/4-pipe fan coils.

• FCU1 – single/variable speed with analog heating/cooling and binary heating, on/off ventilation
• FCU2 – multi/variable speed with analog heating/cooling and binary heating, on/off ventilation

A new category was added for de-carbonizing strategies such as constant volume heat pumps.

• Heatpump1 – DX heating/cooling, dual-stage/analog aux. heat, economizer, DCV, pwr. exhaust
• Heatpump2 – DX heating/cooling, dual-stage/analog aux. heat, economizer, fixed vent.
• Heatpump3 – DX heating/cooling, dual-stage/analog aux. heat, barometric exhaust
• Heatpump4 – DX heating/cooling, dual-stage/analog aux. heat, barometric exhaust

With each of the applications comes a full set of documents to support the project. These documents can be edited to meet project requirements including the Sedona application.
