BASautomation Products on Display at AHR Expo - Booth #239

AHR 2014January 2014 - We are looking forward to seeing you in our booth #239 at the upcoming 2014 AHR Expo next week, January 21-23 in New York City. We will be highlighting our BASautomation - Building on BACnet product line, designed to help system integrators make a complete, integrated system that is cost-effective.

For those who need to integrate BACnet systems with Modbus devices such as those used for boiler control, variable speed drives, and metering applications, the BASgatewayLX is designed to make gateway commissioning as simple as possible.

Using the concept of virtual routing, up to 30 Modbus devices appear as individual BACnet devices. Using web pages and a resident database of common Modbus device profiles, Modbus registers can be mapped to BACnet objects. Our library of Modbus device profiles that reside within the BASgatewayLX removes a significant burden from the system integrator commissioning the system. Additional custom device profiles can be downloaded from our website.

At AHR, we will also have the new BAScontrol20 on display, a 20-point Powered by Sedona Framework™ field controller with a direct connection to an Ethernet network. Ideally suited for structured wiring systems, the BAScontrol20 is BACnet/IP compliant with a B-ASC device profile. Having a resident Sedona Virtual Machine (SVM), the unit is freely programmable using tools such as Niagara Workbench or Sedona Workbench. For remote Ethernet I/O applications, the unit can be configured via web pages.

The BAScontrol20 provides a convenient mix of universal inputs, binary inputs and outputs as well as analog outputs. Models exist for both triac and relay binary outputs. The unit is ideal for unitary control or for expanding I/O points in the field via an Ethernet connection. The unit also has eight virtual points that can be used by BACnet clients to write and read values to and from a Sedona wire sheet, for example writing set points or reading status. In addition, the BAScontrol20 has 48 web components that allow the viewing or writing of 48 values used on a Sedona wire sheet from a web browser.

Our popular BASrouters will be on display too. The BASrouterLX high-performance BACnet router provides stand-alone routing between BACnet networks such as BACnet/IP, BACnet Ethernet, and BACnet MS/TP. With the high-speed processor, it has advanced features such as MS/TP slave proxy support (allowing auto-discovery of MS/TP slaves) and MS/TP frame capture and storage for use with Wireshark®. As a BBMD, up to 50 BDT and 147 FDR entries can be supported. The BASrouterLX has two physical communication ports - a 10/100 Mbps BACnet/IP Ethernet port and an optically-isolated EIA-485 port for MS/TP. Router configuration is accomplished via web pages. Our BASrouter and Portable BASrouter will also be on display.

Our BAScloudVPN remote monitoring service will be available as well. The BAScloudVPN service makes it possible to provide secure, remote communication over the Internet by hosting a Virtual Private Network (VPN) server in the cloud.

Before the Expo, view our new product catalogs. The BASautomation - Building on BACnet product catalog and our new CTRLink product catalog. In addition, both our new product catalogs will be available at the Expo.

We are looking forward to visiting with our existing customers and meeting new ones. Be sure to stop by booth #239 to say hello.
