Learn More about IP Security Concerns and New Products at AHR's Educational Seminars

AHR 2018 Education Session

AHR will be providing more than 50 educational seminars that cover a wide-range of topics. The educational seminars are free to all registered AHR Expo attendees. Harpartap Parmar, Senior Product Manager at Contemporary Controls, will be presenting an educational seminar titled, "Addressing IP Security Concerns when Deploying a BACnet System" on behalf of BACnet International on Monday, January 22 from 9:30 – 10:30 AM in S103BC.

Description of the seminar:
The BACnet standard addresses the security concerns when implementing a new system. But how to secure legacy systems and enhance security for the new systems? The additional use of TLS and VPN technology which is prevelant in the IT field can help in this regard.

In additional to the educational seminars, AHR also provides free exhibitor product & technology presentations. Zach Netsov, Product Specialist at Contemporary Controls, will present BACnet/IP Integration and Open Control with the BASintegrator on Tuesday, January 23 at 1:15 PM in Theater B. The new BASintegrator provides BACnet MS/TP and Modbus to BACnet integration, as well as license-free Sedona open control and BACnet head-end capabilities such as alarming, trending, scheduling and graphics. Ideal as a small facility head-end, it can also function as a secure IoT gateway to cloud storage.
