Comparing BACnet Router Functionality

Contemporary Controls' multi-network BASrouters provide versatile stand-alone routing between BACnet/IP, BACnet Ethernet, and BACnet MS/TP networks. While all models can function as BACnet/IP Broadcast Management Devices (BBMDs) with support for Foreign Device Registration (FDR), each offers unique features tailored to specific networking requirements.

  • BASrouter: The BASRT-B is a compact DIN-rail mounted unit that is used for fixed installations.
  • BASrouterSX: The BASRTSX-B and BASRTSX-B/P are a high-performance BACnet routers for large buildings that incorporate HTTPS for encrypted webpage communication.
  • BASrouterSX-GSA: The BASRTSX-B-GSA is a GSA-compliant model of the BASrouterSX which has been tested and approved for use in U.S. government buildings.
  • Portable BASrouter: BASRTP-B is an easy-to-carry and USB-powered unit that is ideal for commissioning and troubleshooting at jobsites.
