New Video Provides an Overview of the BAScontrol Toolset's BASemulator Utility

Contemporary Controls' BAScontrol Toolset is a set of free software tools used to emulate, program, and archive a controller. The Toolset features the BASemulator, the Sedona Application Editor, or SAE, and BASbackup and is available as a free download on our website. The Toolset can be used with a standard web browser to develop and test automation applications without an actual controller, allowing you to "try before you buy."

A new video provides an overview of the BASemulator. The BASemulator simulates the operation of a real controller on a PC and can be used with any controller in our BASautomation line of BACnet open controllers.

The BASemulator works in conjunction with SAE and BASbackup. It an excellent tool for learning the intricacies of Sedona components and for bench testing control sequences before deploying programs in live field applications.

This video demonstrates emulator features using a simple light dimmer sequence of operation (SOO) for Contemporary Controls' BAScontrol22S, 22-point unitary controller, which supports BACnet client/server operation over BACnet/IP or BACnet MS/TP.

Contemporary Controls' series of BASautomation open controllers feature BACnet as a communications protocol and Sedona as a license-free function block programming language. Each product in the series is freely programmable using our BAScontrol Toolset.

As a Sedona developer, Contemporary Controls has developed several product lines based on Sedona, such as the BAScontrol Series and the Micro PC Edge Series of BACnet-compliant open controllers, and the BAScontrol Toolset for unrestricted use in program development and archiving. Pre-Built Applications for common HVAC applications are available to speed project development.
