Contemporary Controls Showcases Gigabit Routers at SPS/IPC Drives Trade Fair in Germany

SPS 2016November 2016 - Visit Contemporary Controls at Stand 10.0-141 at the SPS/IPC Drives show in Nuremberg, Germany, November 22 - 24, 2016 to see our latest wired and wireless Gigabit IP router family providing OpenVPN, Wi-Fi, and cellular models.

On display will be Contemporary Controls' new EIGR series of Gigabit IP routers added to our CTRLink Ethernet product family. These routers all have multiple Gigabit Ethernet ports while supporting wide temperature operation (most models support -40 to +75C operation). Like the current 10/100 Mbps EIPR products the new EIGR series provide 24VAC/DC operation via a removable terminal block, DIN rail mounting, diagnostic LEDs and rugged metal construction. The EIGR products have a stateful firewall, port forwarding, NAT/PAT routing, allowlist, and DHCP client/server; all configurable via a simple webpage with built-in help. The EIGR-E model supports 5 Gigabit ports, of which one is for the WAN port and four are for the LAN ports. The EIGR-V has the same features as the EIGR-E but with an OpenVPN client and an OpenVPN server. The EIGR-C models will also provide a built-in cellular port as well as full VPN features. Various models will provide HSPA+ and LTE functionality. The EIGR-W has the same features as the EIGR-E while providing a built-in Wi-Fi port that can act as a Wi-Fi access point.

"The SPS trade fair is a significantly important show for Contemporary Controls in Europe" said Christian Blenz, EMEA Applications Engineer of Contemporary Controls. "It provides us the opportunity to showcase our advanced IP router product solutions to a sizeable and informed audience."

The SPS/IPC Drives show is the biggest user-oriented event that highlights new products, system solutions and concepts. This year, SPS expects thousands of exhibitors to display the latest innovations in automation technologies. The show is one of the largest shows of its kind in Europe. The exhibits encompass the entire automation controls market, from the individual components to complete system integration.
